Game of Thrones First Impression and Season 1 Review

We all know Game of Thrones is one of the most phenomenal Television Series nowadays. Adapted from George R.R. Martin best selling book franchise A Song of Ice and Fire, bringing the lore to life, the memorable characters and interesting narrative.

Game of Thrones was released five years ago and I'm one of those people who did not followed the series from the beginning, in fact i just lately discovered this year. I was never been a big fan of Television Series, because i often cliffhangers and wait for another episode, i watch series when its done or either it short to really follow, Like Twin Peaks. I must say i was a late bloomer when it comes loving TV Series, but to nowadays i discover they are interesting just like full length films, where you can explore more about the story and the characters, i just recently following series like Penny Dreadful, True Detective (One of my favorite among all) and their continuations are yet to come. I suddenly realize TV Series is much more like cartoons when i was young yet it was more exciting because i am mature now.

I might just recently discovered Game of Thrones but i was never late, there is already 4 seasons have passed and the 5th season was near to its end, i have yet to follow 40 Episodes after seeing the whole season 1. Receiving and Passing Spoilers was always been a struggle to a man like me who just started watching the whole thing but I'm doing my best to avoid them. The main reason why it takes time before i finally decided to see it is not because i'm not huge of Series but for this similar reason: I was never really a fan of a pure fantasy  genre specially when it sets during medieval times where swords and sandals are renounced unless it was video game like a The Elder Scroll where you can explore it by your own way, perhaps i was never really that appreciative but the truth is after watching the whole Season 1 of Game of Throne i feel like i am playing video game, i discover a lore, characters, fictional places, its like an adventure. I don't want to exaggerate the feeling since i just seen one season but a person with an enthusiasm when it comes lore are easily getting attached to the things that contains such medium. I have a history loving a lore, whether fictional or reality it is always interesting to explore the depths of the history. Lore is the reason i love Star Wars, Elder Scroll, etc and lore is the reason why i get my pure interest to the Game of Thrones.

Game of Throne Season 1 is perhaps a strong starter to allow its viewer get to attached to it, i decided to review the particular season, but i'm not gonna review every single of them from Season 2 to Season 5 unless i can catch the latest Seasons. Season 1 is full adventure and tragedy, I'm not gonna spoil about it even if 5 years have already passed since it was released i understand there is people who is knew about the series.

The Season builds up a lot of strong characters from start to end even those who didn't stay for long, it seems to be that it is the series real strength. Although the first season only set up things for what to come next it already showcases the strength of its Story-Telling. Thanks for its amazing writing where it follows the motion of each characters, their personalities, their look and their role. Game of Throne Season 1 was definitely a great introduction to the series.

What it seems to be the real Beauty of the Game of Thrones is its boldness of showing of brutalities and violence, sex and death, through that it gives the viewers an excitement of tangibility, enough to say that they are also belong to the world. A Good show always make you feel you are there. Introducing the extraordinary world, the myth, the history the full lore although not the whole yet but it puts you there to the situation where you want more, to learn more and that where i personally this series takes me on.

The Beauty of Game of Thrones is undoubtedly visually enthralling, it adds more depth to world and to the story itself, its one of most Cinematic series i have seen since True Detective. The sounds are perfect and the motions of the cameras are dramatically syncing to the emotions that character have been driven of.

Well Overall i have nothing much more to say about the First Season of Game of Thrones i was enthralled and probably many has. I do prefer to give more of my thoughts about it than purely review it since the season 1 is just the set up for the whole series. I currently following it carefully.

I Give Game of Thrones Season 1 a solid 8.5/10

I think its a good start for the show, it gives a lot an investment to the viewers. I do recommended this TV Series from HBO, follow it carefully because its one of those show that are heavily sensitive when it comes spoilers.
