The Entourage

Entourage (2015) Review

Cinematography by Steven Fierberg

First before i begin i would to thank my buddy MatthewThe Film Geek Guy who invited me to see this movie with him on its Screening, definitely a cool guy. Going into this film i wasn't expecting anything more than just i know it's from an HBO TV Series and it's a comedy, that i never seen, but i like the fact it's never become a hindrance for me to appreciate this movie, in fact if i ever seen the series i think the movie stands on its own. It's a fun that keeps you from start to end.

Entourage takes a bit time after the series has ended but i am reviewing this movie as a blind person who hasn't seen any episode whole seasons of Entourage and it's bad. What i mean about that is that it doesn't hanging asking questions and the movie just let's enjoy it and most of the time. It's a comedy and yet it really does good comedic assets however you have understand it also have some flaws that pretty much affects the premise of the movie.

So the movie is about this star Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier) with his buddies Turtle (Jerry Ferrara), Eric Murphy (Kevin Connolly), and Drama (Johnny Dillon) who is making a film that he stars and also directed after receiving a call and a del from Ari Gold (Jeremy Piven) who is now a runs a major studio. However things turns out to be bad after their $100 Million movie that they are making got into over budget. That leaves Vincent and Ari in trouble trying to save the movie that is also believed to be an award winning bate while they also face their personal problems.

It's Fun, It's funny the movie jokes and fun things really works so well, and that is important by the fact that it's comedy flick despite of all the fun, i think the characters are one of the down side of the movie, It's not really a well acted film and that  really affects the film's premise, but however it was saved by funny dialogues. Speaking of save i think movie will hardly become fun without the character of Jeremy Piven, he had the most memorable funny moments and lines he is just great likable, other than him all of the character are okay most of them pretty bland but when they finally does this funny moments of them it really works and its funny.

I think the main strength of the movie is that it was just made to be entertaining, i never had a much laugh in cinema for a while and what is more surprisingly is that the cast is not like we usually see, or a famous comedy actors and it was not a film by Adam Sandler, but with all of this great executions of funny moments, it felt that the plot was left hanging. You don't really care about the plot anymore, most of the moment are very unpredictable, but the point is you don't just really care about it anymore, and this dumb reason on why this dude is trying to prevent the movie that the main characters are trying to do really working, the Comedy eats you already and you're just watching the movie for the sake of the fun but the clarification is it's not really bad, it can be keep up and balanced. Although there's some moments that makes  you think on what might gonna happen next but they are just very small.

Also one of the things that really works on this movie the cameos. This movie had a ton of Cameos from the producer himself Mark Wahlberg, Jessica Alba, Tom Brady and more it felt like the movie really put an advantage of filming on Hollywood, and that is good because the movie also wants to push you the atmosphere of Hollywood. Things that are also appreciable on this movie is that even if it's not serious movie it shows you some things behind what is going on to Hollywood movies, on how producing films happen, the small bit of film making exploration of Blockbuster movies on this film are pretty exciting.

Overall i have of ton laughs on this movie it's fun and  i like that it knows where it belongs. Even if you didn't follow the series i think you'll still enjoy just like me despite of it's generic approach  but doesn't really give you something special.
I Give Entourage a solid 7.0/10
It's just fun film and that's all i can say, It's not boring and it didn't slowdown, it's a pure entertainment, and you definitely might want to check this out.
